Finish One Story and On To The Next

So I finished that story I was writing--Stalking Paul Auster--and I've started another. This one's called "Six Things About Leroy." We'll see how it goes.

I'm just a busy little writing bee these days.

Snow? In April?

That's right, folks. I'm sitting here at 11:40 looking out my window and SNOW is coming down like crazy. Big fat flakes falling on Brooklyn.

What's going to happen to the daffodils?

Cherry Blossoms

So I went to Washington DC this weekend for a conference. (Some of you may know that I do some freelance work for Foundation For Cancer Research & Education... There was a public forum on Saturday for the American Association of Cancer Research. We had a table--handed out brochures/etc.)

After the conference we went over to the tidal basin to see the cherry blossoms.

So pretty--delicate pink petals against the sky.

The only problem is I think I'm developing allergies. Yes, that's right--at age 33, having never EVER suffered from this kind of thing before, I found myself with a stuffy nose, watering eyes and a mild headache.

Sigh.

But the blossoms were pretty. Really. If you're anywhere near DC, you should go and check it out.

While you're at it, go see the Cezanne exhibit at the national gallery.
