Cube 63

Last night we went to Cube 63, the Lowe East Side bastion that not-so-recently opened its new Brooklyn digs. The restaurant's signature dish--the volano roll-- has crab and shrimp in a spicy eel sauce was ho-hum. The spider roll was great and the roe was delish, but overall I think Osaka, just down the block, offers more bang for your buck. So, you know. If you're ever in the hood.

Tell me it's not really made of spiders? I mean a shrimp is a seabug, and thats pushing it...but a land bug?

Sounds like Brooklyn is rocking with the food joints huh?

Photos for us foodies out here huh?

Spicy eel sauce? I have a fear of eels - jellied eels are a delicacy (!) in the East End (of London). My family have been trying to get me to eat them for the past 30 odd years to no avail. I think it's the texture that puts me off.
